The Fashion Foundation

Fashion and philanthropy.  That is Amanda Munz’s passion, which became a reality when she created The Fashion FoundationThe Fashion Foundation is an AMAZING non-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide schools who lack funding with the supplies they need to help their students succeed.  This includes (but is not limited to!) clean uniforms, backpacks, notebooks, pencils, art supplies, and gym equipment.  Retailers and designers, like Rebecca Minkoff, make generous donations of samples that are then sold at a fraction of the price.  The proceeds are then used to provide schools with what they need.  For example, when you purchase a $25 handbag, you are helping to provide 714 pencils to students!  The Fashion Foundation never hands a check directly to the school.  Amanda and her staff work directly with school administration to find out exactly what they need and work to get it to them.  The Fashion Foundation’s most recent project is filling the P.S.I.S. 155 in Brooklyn with books.  They currently have an empty library.  Your purchases contribute to that!  You can also make a donation through PayPal by clicking —> here.

I recently took a trip to The Fashion Foundation’s showroom and found some gorgeous pieces.  I was blown away by the products and their prices!

You know I love a little black dress and anything asymmetrical.  This Yola Colon dress is just stunning!  Now, this is something that I thought I could NEVER own because it retails for $1250!  However, The Fashion Foundation makes it possible to own this designer dress.  You can purchase it for $75!  Perfect for any special occasion!

These pants are one of my favorites!  They are also from Yola Colon.  They feel so luxurious when you put them on.  They also retail for $1250, but are only $45 when purchased from The Fashion Foundation!

Michael Stars is known for making luxury basics that are built to last.  With that said, they can be pricey.  This top was only $10 at The Fashion Foundation’s showroom.  Michael Stars t-shirts usually start at $78 or so.

Lastly, when browsing the racks in the showroom, I found this cute gray pleated dress.  It’s fun and flirty and would be great for any special occasion.  It only costs $5 at the showroom!
